Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]
For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016). There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because it’s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back
“Sun-tama-tama” (a pun off of “Santama”, lit. “third Tama”) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tama’s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, “I will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.” [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tama’s Twitter account.

I still love that Gomez is the one who faints. I adore how he is this hyper-dramatic, hyper-excitable sword-fighting, somersaulting flip-flop of a man who unashamedly feels and shows everything, usually as dramatically as possible. I mean, Morticia does drama too, the Addamses don’t have a single undramatic bone in any of their bodies, but she’s more suggestive, saturnine drama, while Gomez just busts in and unabashedly reacts. Something has happened to his child and he goes down like a log, because stoicism is for people who don’t have their passions on perpetual overload. It’s amazing

Love how when you dig down into it, Portal 2 is a ghost story. Glados is the ghost of a murdered woman who turned around and murdered everyone else back and now she’s trapped forever in an empty decaying facility. This is what does it for me. The blending of scifi and horror, the ghost in the machine. I’m gonna marry a dead murderous lesbian in a supercomputer
Cave Johnson is a ghost whose eons-old voice keeps playing in massive, sunken halls, echoing off condemned experiments, giving instructions to the memories of other subjects
He references his own death and, more casually, the sure deaths of a lot of people in the same position as the player
And you never meet Doug ingame, he’s absolutely dead by the sequel, but in portal 1 you have his notes and drawings hidden away, out of sight, like cave paintings in a futuristic age, the only evidence you have that any humans beside yourself exist. You can’t find him but he leaves remnants that are the only thing in the whole game like companionship.
Portal’s aaabsolutely haunted.

dreamed that kindergarten nap was called sleep class and everybody went to sleep including the teacher. if you were awake it would get a little bit foggy outside and grey and cloudy, and these guys would start approaching the classroom from behind the tree line (forgive my shitty phone drawing)
and they were at least a story tall, some of them were taller, you could see their legs over the trees. they would approach very slowly. this one (the one i drew) had a name for some reason, his name is kick.
before i was totally awake my brain conjured a meme of a bunch of these guys approaching from the treeline and a child watching from the window with the caption “when you the only one awake in sleep class 😂😳😏”

i dont know how to explain it exactly but the concepts of debt and “deserving things” are both fake in the exact same way. the natural world and perhaps true human nature do not function in ways of owing…there are no prerequisites to receiving. u do not have to pay anything special to be worthy of experiencing good things.
